2026-03-04A thematic issue of the journal "Oceanological Research" is planned
The Editorial Board of the journal "Oceanological Research" has decided to prepare a special thematic issue No. 54(3), dedicated to the memory of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Irina Petrovna Chubarenko.
The scope of articles is not limited, as I.P. Chubarenko worked in many areas of oceanology and limnology, including particle and microplastic transport, interactions of water bodies with the atmosphere, and their response to anthropogenic impact.
The issue is planned for autumn 2026 (no later than September 30). Submission deadline: 15.05.2026. Articles are accepted in Russian and English.

Creation of the international system for evaluating the effectiveness of scientific research and development

New Nomenclature of Scientific Specialties of the Higher Attestation Commission
2023-05-04By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated March 23, 2021 No. 91-r, the scientific Journal of Oceanological Research (ISSN: 1564-2291) was included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations in 28 specialties for the degree of Candidate of Sciences and for the degree of Doctor of Science should be published.

The Journal of Oceanological Research in terms of its indicators entered the 2nd quartile - K2 of the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications
2022-12-12Dear Colleagues,
Information has been received that on October 20, 2022, the Working Group on improving and optimizing the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications, in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Science, for the degree of Doctor of Science under the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia (hereinafter - HAC), together with the expert councils of the HAC, completed the analysis of the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications (publications included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications as of December 31, 2021 in the scientific specialties of the former nomenclature, approved by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated October 23, 2017 No. 1027).
The Journal of Oceanological Research in terms of its indicators entered the 2nd quartile - K2.

2021-07-18Our friend, Jörn Thiede, a famous German scientist in the field of marine geology and paleooceanology of the Arctic, passed away on July 15, 2021. He was 81. Jörn Thiede was founding director of the Institute of Marine Sciences of the G. W. Leibniz (GEOMAR, Kiel) and former director of the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI, Bremerhaven).

Выпуск приурочен 200 летнему юбилею открытия Антарктиды Первой Русской Антарктической Экспедицией, возглавляемой Ф. Беллинсгаузеном и М. Лазаревым в 1819–1821 гг. Этому событию в разделе «История и персоналии» посвящена статья д.б.н., почетного полярника И.А. Мельникова «К истории Антарктиды: от открытия к исследования».
Объем выпуска: 164 стр., в научном разделе 7 работ, в разделе «История и персоналии» - 5 статей и в разделе «Информация» - 1 краткое сообщение о международном симпозиуме 2019 г.

2020-01-31В соответствии с рекомендациями ВАК Минобрнауки РФ №1-пл/1 от 15.06.2017 г., Международного комитета по публикационной этике «COPE», Ассоциации научных редакторов и издателей «АНРИ» по политике рецензирования и исключения заимствований (антиплагиата) - в разделе «Рецензентам» и «Правила» опубликованы соответственно новый Регламент по порядку оформления статей на публикацию в журнале «Океанологические исследования» и «Публикационная этика».
В соответствии международным Соглашением по этике COPE Code of Conduct поступившие научные рукописи проходят двойное слепое двухстороннее рецензирование (авторы и рецензенты не знают друг друга). Кроме того, каждая рукопись проходит как минимум двух рецензентов, а в спорных случаях и более. Решение о публикации принимается при наличии положительных рецензий, превышающих общее количество отрицательных отзывов как минимум на 1 рецензию с учетом проверки рукописи на антиплагиат.
До 01.01.2020 использовался односторонний слепой режим редактирования (авторы не знали рецензентов) и осуществлялась проверка на антиплагиат.
