Participants included: Chief editor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences A. G. Kostyanoy, Head of the Editorial Board O. S. Pintar, Executive Editor of Issue No. 4, Volume 53 — S. A. Sviridov, Literary Editor — Chief Specialist Yu. V. Vorobyova, Chief Specialist polygraphist — N. A. Lyakhova, and Senior Engineer — System Administrator E. V. Danilin.

Agenda

Preparation for printing of issue 53, No. 4, 2025. Report by the editor-in-chief, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor A. G. Kostyanoy.

Results

Peer-reviewed manuscripts submitted for publication in the Journal of Oceanological Research in 2025 were reviewed.

Twenty-seven thematic papers were submitted to the editors for the third issue of 2025. Of these, 7 articles were transferred from the first issue of 2025, as they were undergoing peer review and pre-print preparation. The remaining articles were received in the second and third quarters of 2025.

Thirty-one thematic papers were submitted to the editors for the fourth issue of 2025. Of these, 12 articles were transferred from the third issue of 2025, as they were undergoing peer review and pre-print preparation. The remaining articles were received in the third and fourth quarters of 2025.

The Editorial Board's portfolio for the fourth quarter of 2025 consisted of 31 manuscripts, including 30 scientific papers and one historical article on personalities. As a result of peer review and editorial work for issue No. 4 (53), the following were prepared for publication: 15 scientific articles, 1 historical article.

Thus, of the 31 manuscripts in the Editorial Board's portfolio, 16 articles prepared for issue 4 of Volume 53 have passed review, accounting for 52% of the total number of articles in the portfolio. Of the 30 scientific papers submitted to the editorial board, only 15 have successfully passed double-blind peer review to date; one historical work on personalities passed single-blind peer review, as articles on this topic receive a simple recommendation from an editorial board member as not requiring double peer review. PDF versions of the articles are available on the portal in electronic form: https://jor.ocean.ru/index.php/jor/issue/view/38

The remaining 9 articles in the Editorial Board's portfolio are currently undergoing review and pre-print editorial and publishing preparation; they have been transferred to the first issue of 2026.
