Inclusion in the bibliographic database “Russian Science Citation Index” (RSCI)

2024-11-02

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Editorial Board, I congratulate the members of the Editorial Board and the Founder of the journal (P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Russian Academy of Sciences) on the inclusion and indexation of the journal "Ocean Research" in the bibliographic database "Russian Science Citation Index" (RSCI) since 2024.

RSCI is a multidisciplinary database that aggregates bibliographic data on publications in Russian scientific journals or scientific journals in Russian. RSCI is a joint project of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the international information and analytical company "Clarivate Analytics" (WoS) and the Russian information company "Scientific Electronic Library" (SEL).

  • RAS (Moscow, Russia) organizes and conducts an examination and assessment of the quality of the database content at the level of RSCI scientific publications.
  • Clarivate Analytics (Philadelphia, United States) is responsible for the organizational and technical support of the RSCI database on the Web of Science technology platform, which is owned by Clarivate Analytics, as well as for the global distribution of this information product.
  • NEB (Moscow, Russia) is responsible for data preparation, organizational and technical support for the acquisition of RSCI within the information array of the Russian Science Citation Index database (hereinafter referred to as RSCI), as well as support for the examination, assessment and monitoring of the quality of the acquisition of the RSCI database.

Access to the RSCI database is carried out through the user interface of the Web of Science information technology platform (owned by Clarivate Analytics).

The RSCI database is a significant substantive component of the information and analytical system "RSCI Core".

The new RSCI list (1014 journals currently being published) is posted on the websites of the Russian Academy of Sciences (section scientific publishing activities) and the Scientific Electronic Library (eLIBRARY.RU).
