The Editorial Board of the journal Oceanological Research congratulates you on the upcoming New Year 2026! Thank you for being with us! The journal's first issue was published back in 1959. Today, it is one of the leading Russian peer-reviewed journals in oceanology and related sciences, publishing scientific articles in Russian, English, and Chinese (starting from Issue 4, 2025). The journal is currently accredited in 28 scientific specialties by the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) and ranks in the second quartile "K2." It is indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database and the RSCI Core, with a Science Index rating of 17%. Based on 2024 results, the journal has been included in the "White List 2025" and EGPNI (level Q3). The journal has gained popularity, attracting numerous and diverse submissions. In 2025, Oceanological Research received 66 manuscripts, of which 56 were published. Among these, 48 were research articles that received 97 reviews, with each scientific article reviewed by at least two experts. Eight publications were informational, historical, or commemorative works.

As we conclude 2025, the Editorial Board extends its gratitude to all colleagues for our fruitful collaboration. We especially thank our highly professional and dedicated reviewers, who have taken on the demanding task of meticulously guiding scientific works through the double-blind peer review process. The joint efforts of reviewers and authors, supported by the editorial team, enable the publication of high-quality research.
