DIGITAL ARCHIVE OF MARINE GEOMAGNETIC DATA AND ITS INTEGRATION INTO ODBASE
Abstract
The Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IO RAS) has created a digital archive of marine geomagnetic data integrated with the ODBASE information system, which provides cataloging, storage and display, as well as search for geomagnetic research data carried out during expeditions. The article discusses the structure of the digital archive and a description of metadata, principles and conditions of measurements during marine operations, and presents a diagram of the archive organization. The presented results are significant in light of the task of preserving data and providing prompt access to them, including for educational purposes.
