THE INTERWEAVING OF DESTINIES AND PLACES - THE LIFE OF A SCIENTIST THROUGH THE HISTORY OF THE FORMATION OF "BORK"
Abstract
The fate of many of our wonderful scientists and researchers) is wonderfully intertwined with historical events and outstanding people who took an active part in the formation of our science and research centers. These spatio-temporal relationships influenced the fate of the participants in these events, as happened with Konstantin Vladimirovich Popov, senior researcher, candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences, Laboratory of Geophysical Fields, Institute of Oceanology. He began his journey from a young age back in 1951 at the Borok Biological Station. And he left us in July this year at a workplace at the Borok Geophysical Observatory, completing his research there and completing a number of his works for the 47th issue of the journal, including those dedicated to the famous explorer of the North I.D. Papanin, whose life, in turn, is connected both with this place and with K.V. Popov.
