Abstract

The article briefly describes the problems that our scientists had to solve in the process of creating and implementing deep-sea manned submersibles (DMS) in the practice of scientific ocean research. Thanks to the successful use of DMS, the Institute of Oceanology has become one of the leaders in this field, having performed a wide range of research and special underwater technical work at great ocean depths, and the Institute’s achievements have received international recognition.
