REMEMBERING YURI VIZBOR (20.06.1934–17.09.1984) 40 YEARS LATER

Abstract

On June 20, 2024, we celebrated the 90th anniversary of the birth of the beloved poet, singersongwriter, screenwriter, film actor, journalist Yuri Iosifovich Vizbor. Yu. I. Vizbor is one of the founders of the genre of author’s, tourist song, the creator of the genre of songreportage. Exhibitions, concerts, literary and musical evenings were dedicated to the memory of Yu. I. Vizbor. 40 years ago, in the last year of his life, on February 9, 1984, Yuri Vizbor came to the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences with a concert. Among the employees of our institute were close friends of Yuri Vizbor, with whom he went to the mountains, rafted down rivers in kayaks, participated in the famous Grushinsky festival of author’s songs. They provided stories-memories of different periods of Yuri Vizbor’s life. Some excerpts from their memoirs, written in a reportage form close to Vizbor, are presented in this article.
