This paper presents the results of an experimental study that tested a remote sensing method for analyzing wind wave parameters using shore sea noise measurements. This method involves recording and processing sound signals generated by breaking waves in the surf zone. The acoustic measurement results were compared with data obtained by a CTD pressure sensor during an expedition to the Baltic Spit on July 5, 2024, as well as with results from computational methods. The wave period obtained from the sea noise recording was consistent with estimates obtained through spectral analysis of in situ data (5.0 ± 0.2 sec and 4.6 ± 0.7 sec). This illustrates the feasibility of using the proposed method to remotely monitor shore sea wave parameters when visual observations or instrument installation in the water are impossible.
