RUBEN DERENIKOVICH KOS’YAN (1946–2023) TO THE 80th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SCIENTIST OCEANOLOGIST DATE OF BIRTH

Abstract

May 20, 2026 marks the 80th anniversary the birth of the prominent scientist, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor, Ruben Derenikovich Kos’yan. Three years have passed since his death. But everyone who knew him, – friends, colleagues, and students, – remembers and mourns the untimely passing of Ruben Derenikovich from our lives. His love of life, optimism and thirst for communication attracted people from different fields of activity to him. R. D. Kos’yan was one of the world’s leading experts in the field of studying the patterns of hydrogenic movements of detrital material in the coastal zone of the sea. Let’s remember a wonderful man, a prominent ocean scientist, a talented organizer of science.
