Abstract
The article is dedicated to Anatoly Mikhailovich Sagalevich – Hero of the Russian Federation (2008), Doctor of Technical Sciences (1985), Professor, Head of the Laboratory for the operation of deep-sea manned vehicles, Chief pilot of the “Pisces” and “MIR” submersibles, who made more than 500 dives, including to depths more than 6000 m. Anatoly Mikhailovich is a man who was ahead of his time, the best in his field, the one who once, together with his teacher, the technical genius I. E. Mikhaltsev, brought Russian oceanology to the world leaders in deep-sea research.
