Agenda Preparation for printing of issue 52 No. 3 2024. Report by the editor-in-chief, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor A. G. Kostyanoy.

Results: Reviewed peer-reviewed manuscripts submitted for publication in the Journal of Oceanological Research in 2024.

In the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2024, 25 thematic works were submitted to the Editorial Board. The Editorial portfolio in the 3rd quarter of 2024 was formed from 14 manuscripts, of which there were 9 scientific works, and 5 historical articles about personalities. As a result of reviewing and editorial work for No. 3 (52), the following were prepared for release:

  • 10 scientific articles,
  • 4 historical articles.

Thus, out of 25 manuscripts available in the Editorial portfolio, 14 articles were reviewed, which were prepared in No. 3 of volume 52, which amounted to 60% of the total number of articles in the portfolio. Of the 15 scientific papers submitted to the editors, 9 successfully passed double-blind peer review; 5 historical works on personalities underwent one-sided reviewing, since articles on this topic receive a simple recommendation from a member of the editorial board as not requiring double reviewing. PDF versions of articles are available on the portal in electronic form: https://jor.ocean.ru/index.php/jor/issue/view/33.

One article, by decision of the Editorial Board meeting, was sent for revision based on the comments of the reviewers. Also, one article was rejected by the editors as unsuitable for the topic of the journal.

The remaining articles in the Editorial portfolio, currently at the stages of review and pre-print editorial and publishing preparation, were moved to issue 53 No. 1 2025.
